Two-tone, dark and light blue with vertical separators in black, glazed faience tile-shaped inlay with pierced attachment holes at each corner for fastening, a projecting rectangle at the back indicates its use as an inlay.
The first part of the inscription reads "may a Royal offering be given..." referring to a common offering spell, the second part appears to be put together in no reading order.
Formerly in the renown collection of Carl DeVries (1921-2010), Pastor and Egyptologist, member of the Nubian Expedition from 1963 to 1964, associate professor at the Oriental Institute in Chicago from 1965 to 1975. Mr. DeVries authored articles for six dictionaries and encyclopedias on the subject of ancient Egpt and the Near East.
