The bull striding forward, with a sun disc between the horns fronted by a uraeus, the body with incised characteristic decoration, including a triangle on the brow and a cross-hatched blanket on the back, on a thin rectangular integral plinth, an attachment tang beneath.
Length: 2 1/5" (5.5cm)
Provenance:

with R.H. Blanchard’s Egyptian Museum, Cairo, 1906. original base with label included 
Formerly in the collection of Rodney Davidson (1933-2016), Melbourne, Australia. From the late 1940s, Mr. Davidson developed an interest in books that documented Australia’s early history, during his travels to the middle east and abroad his interest extended beyond books and into artifacts. In recognition of his public service to the heritage of the Nation he was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1974 and in 1989 was made an Officer in the Order of Australia (AO). To many, Rodney was an inspiration as a collector, connoisseur, and protector of history.

Minor chip to sun disc, otherwise intact.

    Your order will ship once payment is made in full. 


NOTE: Some items do not qualify for payment plans. All payment plan orders must be paid within 10 months from the order date. Exceeding this tiem frame will result in forfeiture. To get your order faster, you can pay-off your order in full or increase your monthly payments at any time.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES on PAYMENT PLANS

You may cancel your payment plan purchase within three (3) months, a 15% restocking-fee will apply. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on items purchased on the payment plan.
