Pale blue-green glazed faience composition, the portrait of the dwarf-god Bes is molded in relief with the reverse flat. Its Nubian characteristic and ferocious appearance are meticulously carved, with curly beard, large lips and bared teeth, broad flat nose, and raised brows. The small cavetto cornice surmounted by short plumes indicated above its head. A short suspension hole pierced diagonally from the lower back to the flat underside. Mounted

Bes is commonly known as the guardian god and protector of women in labor. His function originated from Nubia but reached epic popularity throughout Egypt after being named the protective deity of the royal house of Egypt. His image decorated countless decorative art objects, beds and head-rests. His joie-de-vivre and love of music is portrayed by known figures of Bes dancing.

At Medusa-art.com, we believe that anyone who desires to acquire antiquities should be able to do so. We are passionate about this belief and offer interest-free installments of up to 10 months on particular items (based on item value). HOW IT WORKS

    Payment plans are available on orders starting at $900.
    A deposit of $300 or 10%, which ever is greater, of the total price is required upon purchase.
    The balance must be paid in installments of at least $300 or 10% per months, whichever is greater.
    Select your monthly payment term from the dropdown menu at checkout.
    Title remains the property of Medusa Ancient Art, Inc. until payment is made in full.
    Your order will ship once payment is made in full. 


NOTE: Some items do not qualify for payment plans. All payment plan orders must be paid within 10 months from the order date. Exceeding this tiem frame will result in forfeiture. To get your order faster, you can pay-off your order in full or increase your monthly payments at any time.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES on PAYMENT PLANS

You may cancel your payment plan purchase within three (3) months, a 15% restocking-fee will apply. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on items purchased on the payment plan. However, we provide our lifetime money-back guarantee of authenticity. If the piece you purchase is not as represented by Medusa-art.com, you will be refunded the purchase price in full – it’s that simple.
