Since 1996, Medusa-art.com has offered art collectors, dealers and museums with important, well-preserved Egyptian antiquities and Classical works of art to be admired in private residences and public exhibits around the world. Allan J. Anawati, Medusa-art.com owner, has an infectious passion and steadfast commitment to ancient art with a focus on Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Near Eastern antiquities.
Allan’s grandfather and father helped spark this passion decades ago near the shores of the Mediterranean in a country where two of the seven ancient wonders of the world originated – Egypt. His grandfather was chosen to oversee the private collection of King Farouk I; his father built Archaeologia S.A. and acquired a museum-worthy collection over his 40-plus years in the business. Allan has carried on this tradition and with the age of technology has brought ancient art and artifacts to a global audience who share this passion and appreciation for antiquities. Spanning three generations, the Anawati family assisted several international museums and galleries, art agents and brokers, art investors and interior designers to display and acquire enviable collections.
