Solid cast bronze Baboon of reddish-brown patina, his head stiffly erect, depicted seated on his haunches with forepaws resting on his knees, wearing a detailed mantle of fur over his body and arms, and a fragmented lunar crescent and sun-disk over his head, the tail curling to his right, on an integral base. Mounted

The baboon, sacred to Thoth, were often kept in moon temples, partially as mascots or watchdogs.

Height: 2 3/10" (5.8cm)

Provenance:

ex. Galerie Reiner, Paris, acquired 6 December 1989. Copy of certificate to be transferred to new owner.
ex. French Private Collection.
French Passport no. 150664.

Condition:
Fragmented crescent and disk, otherwise intact. A fine example for the type.

HOW IT WORKS

   Payment plans are available on orders starting at $900.
    A deposit of $300 or 10%, which ever is greater, of the total price is required upon purchase.
    The balance must be paid in installments of at least $300 or 10% per months, whichever is greater.
   Select your monthly payment term from the dropdown menu at checkout.
   Title remains the property of Medusa Ancient Art, Inc. until payment is made in full.
   Your order will ship once payment is made in full.

NOTE: Some items do not qualify for payment plans. All payment plan orders must be paid within 10 months from the order date. Exceeding this tiem frame will result in forfeiture. To get your order faster, you can pay-off your order in full or increase your monthly payments at any time.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES on PAYMENT PLANS

You may cancel your payment plan purchase within three (3) months, a 15% restocking-fee will apply. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on items purchased on the payment plan. However, we provide our lifetime money-back guarantee of authenticity. If the piece you purchase is not as represented by Medusa-art.com, you will be refunded the purchase price in full – it’s that simple.
