Two tone, turquoise-blue glazed faience composition amulet with black pigment for the wig, depicting the lion-headed goddess Sekhmet, finely detailed with her left leg forward, her arms held alongside her body, wearing a tripartite wig, with a suspension loop at the back of the head.
Height: 2 1/2" (6.3cm)
Provenance:

Collection of Charles Bouché (1928-2010), Paris, an antiquarian specializing in militaria of the First French Empire, was also an important collector of ancient Egyptian art. Fascinated particularly by funerary art, he spent the sixty years following the war amassing an important collection of funerary statuettes and other ritual elements, consisting of shabtis, scarabs, beautiful bronze statuettes and fine amulets. Often guided in his purchases by Egyptologists Professor Jean Yoyotte (1927-2009) and Madame Desroches-Noblecourt (1913-2011).

Intact. Elegant in form with fine vivid turquoise color, an overall excellent example for the type.

At Medusa-art.com, we believe that anyone who desires to acquire antiquities should be able to do so. We are passionate about this belief and offer interest-free installments of up to 10 months on particular items (based on item value). HOW IT WORKS

    Payment plans are available on orders starting at $900.
    A deposit of $300 or 10%, which ever is greater, of the total price is required upon purchase.
    The balance must be paid in installments of at least $300 or 10% per months, whichever is greater.
    Select your monthly payment term from the dropdown menu at checkout.
    Title remains the property of Medusa Ancient Art, Inc. until payment is made in full.
    Your order will ship once payment is made in full. 


NOTE: Some items do not qualify for payment plans. All payment plan orders must be paid within 10 months from the order date. Exceeding this tiem frame will result in forfeiture. To get your order faster, you can pay-off your order in full or increase your monthly payments at any time.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES on PAYMENT PLANS

You may cancel your payment plan purchase within three (3) months, a 15% restocking-fee will apply. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on items purchased on the payment plan. However, we provide our lifetime money-back guarantee of authenticity. If the piece you purchase is not as represented by Medusa-art.com, you will be refunded the purchase price in full – it’s that simple.
