Turquoise glazed faience composition offering cup for the penultimate ruler of the nineteen dynasty, Siptah, the near cylindrical body with an off-set base and disk rim, inscribed in black glaze with two facing columns, reading: "The lord of crowns, Merenptah Siptah, beloved of Sokar Osiris".
The tomb of Siptah (KV 47) was discovered by Theodore M. Davis 1905, and excavation was continued in 1912 by English Egyptologist Harry Burton.
